About Young Africa Works

The GEA Mastercard Foundation Young Africa Works is an entrepreneurship development and employment program targeted at young people, particularly young women, in Ghana. 
The GEA Mastercard Foundation partnership falls under the GEA’s Youth Entrepreneurship and Employment Program (YEEP). The partnership will create employment and income generation opportunities for 39,000 young men and women in Ghana.

GEA projects that 70% of beneficiaries of the Young Africa Works partnership will be women (Women are particularly encouraged to apply).

About Ghana Enterprises Agency

Ghana Enterprises Agency is the apex governmental body dedicated to the promotion and development of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)
Sector in Ghana. With the passage of the new Act 1043 by Parliament, GEA is mandated to coordinate, implement and monitor the activities of the MSME
Sector in Ghana.

GEA operates 16 Regional Offices, 191 District Offices known as Business Advisory Centers and 37 Business Resource Centres spread across the country.
The core services offered by GEA are providing and facilitating:
• Access to finance
• Business support services
• Technical skills development, amongst many others.
