Samira Abdul-Azeez is a dual-qualified lawyer in Ghana and The Gambia with extensive expertise in Business Law, Corporate Commercial Transactions, and Intellectual Property Law. She possesses a strong track record in legal advisory, compliance, and business risk management. Her leadership in legal strategy, negotiation, and contract management has positioned her as a key player in business law, corporate governance and legal affairs. She holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and is a Barrister & Solicitor of the Supreme Courts of both Ghana and The Gambia. She earned her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and has additional certifications in FIDIC Construction Law, Corporate Compliance, Intellectual Property, and Public Speaking. She has participated in international legal training programs, including studies in the USA and Switzerland.

As Head of Legal at the Melcom Group of Companies since June 2022, she established and leads the Legal Department, overseeing legal affairs across six subsidiaries. She manages corporate compliance, regulatory affairs, and legal risk mitigation while drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and business agreements.

As the Group Head of Legal, she has advised on international commercial transactions, real estate, retail operations, insurance, finance, IT, security, e-commerce, labor & human resource, corporate governance & policy as well as general administrative matters.

She previously served as a Trainee Lawyer at Puozuing & Associates, where she provided legal consultation on business and commercial matters, assisted in litigation, contract drafting, and corporate due diligence, and conducted legal research. She was an International Associate at Ayine & Partners, handling transnational corporate transactions, contract negotiations, compliance assessments, risk management for international clients, and intellectual property rights enforcement.

She is an active member of the Ghana Bar Association, the African Bar Association, and the African Women Lawyers Association. She currently holds leadership positions in professional organizations and has previously held roles as Chief Justice of the GIMPA SRC (Chairperson of the Judicial Council) and has been a speaker and facilitator at the Model United Nations. She has attended high-profile conferences, including the World Bank Ghana Fiduciary Workshop and the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.
